THE DETERGENT DIFFERENCE
The detergent your customer uses plays a big role in how dishes
look after cleaning. Today’s detergents use little to no phosphates
which may create a white film or residue on dishes and your
customers may blame their dishwasher’s cleaning performance.
Make sure they know testing has shown some dishwasher detergent
tablets and pacs perform better and will help minimize white film
buildup.
For optimal performance, recommend a rinse aid and a
water softener if your customer has hard water.

MYTH: Cleaning the filter is a hassle.
FACT: Rinsing the filter under running water removes
most soils. Tougher soils or calcium deposits from
hard water might require the use of a soft brush.
MYTH: Large items get stuck in the filter.
FACT: Three levels of filtration stop large items
from falling through the dishwasher.
MYTH: Filters smell bad, even after washing.
FACT: Whirlpool brand dishwashers’ resource-efficient
wash system is designed to use higher water
pressure to help prevent soil buildup on the filters.
The heated dry system helps eliminate odors.
MYTH: Pre-rinsing is a must.
FACT: Pre-rinsing is not needed to get dishes clean.
The filter traps food particles and keeps them
from re-entering the dishwasher, so the water
and the dishes are cleaner.
MYTH: Filters need to be cleaned after every wash.
FACT: Not true. Filter cleaning depends on frequency
of use and soil levels. A dishwasher with
typical use and soil levels would need a filter
cleaning only once per year if they scrape and
rinse before loading.
